Monique Ly

Monique has over twenty five years of experience in assisting corporate and individual clients with all matters concerning Australian immigration legislation, policies and processes.

Monique is highly regarded within the Australian migration advisory industry for her extensive immigration advisory knowledge and experience, professionalism and dedication to client service. In 2006, Monique was one of only five Migration advisory professionals in Australia, who were awarded the Award of Excellence by the Department of Immigration.

Being the founder of Amber Migration, Monique leads a formidable team of professionals in discharging their duties to the firm’s growing client base, while driving the values of Professional Integrity, Client Focus and Continuing Quality Improvement in all aspects of Amber Migration’s operations. Before starting Amber Migration, Monique was with a leading immigration law firm, where she led a team of professional team in the delivery of effective immigration compliance and visa solutions to a wide range of Australian and international corporate clients in different industry sectors. Concurrently, Monique was responsible for the development of the firm's China Practice, advising and assisting Chinese corporations and high net worth individuals to expand their businesses into Australia.

Prior to this, Monique was Senior Manager in the Migration Practice of a Big Four accounting firm.

Surinder Singh

Surinder was a Senior Immigration Officer and Manager, with over 10 years of experience in various areas of the department including Business Entry, Border Operations, Investigations, Compliance and International Liaison.

Surinder’s expertise includes migration advisory for Temporary and Permanent streams, corporate sponsorship frameworks and account managing for compliance.

Prior to joining Amber Migration, Surinder established the migration division for a contractor management company and managed a 457 on-hire platform. Surinder was a Board Committee Member for Backpackers Operators Association (BOA) NSW. He has been an educator to the Recruitment and Tourism industry, and is an active member of various migration think tanks and industry forums.

Rebecca Matanle

Rebecca has had over 14 years of experience in advising clients on corporate and individual immigration matters in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Rebecca commenced her career in Migration Advisory with a Big Four firm, where she managed high volume corporate accounts for clients in the professional services, finance, engineering, technology and FMCG sectors. In 2008, Rebecca relocated to the UK, where she managed the London office of an Australian immigration firm, as well as leading a team of consultants in providing both Australian and UK immigration services. During this time, Rebecca also qualified as a UK immigration practitioner and was registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner). Rebecca returned to Australia in 2012. Before joining Amber Migration, Rebecca was with a Big Four accounting firm, responsible for global account management and the delivery of corporate immigration services.

Christine Moh-Bridgland

Having been registered since 2004, Christine has a wealth of experience in delivery high quality migration advisory and client services. Christine’s experience ranges from providing immigration and compliance advice to corporate clients in a diverse range of industries to assisting individuals who wish to migrate to Australia under the Family and General Skilled Migration streams.

Christine has been working in the Australian immigration industry since 2003. Before this, she worked extensively in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry in Asia Pacific. This experience has enhanced her understanding of most of the occupations listed in the various migration occupation lists, which in turn enables her to consult positively with the skills assessment authorities and the Department of Home Affairs.

Christine’s previous immigration experience includes being the Manager of a leading global immigration law firm.

Jayson Zhu

Jayson holds an LLB and Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice. Jayson has provided immigration advice and assistance to individuals and businesses from a wide range of industry sectors including construction, manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality. He has extensive experience in Employer-sponsored temporary and permanent visas, General Skilled Migration visas, Family visas and Student visas.

Miao Tang

MARN: 1802513

Miao holds Master degrees in Translation & Interpreting and in Professional Accounting. She joined Amber Migration in February 2015 and has since been supporting the team in all areas of application preparation and service delivery

Miao completed a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and Practice at the Australian National University in 2017 and became the “newest” registered agent at the Amber Migration family.

Sofia Maniam

Principal Lawyer, M Legal Australia

Sofia is a qualified Australian Immigration lawyer. Her passion in refugee and migration matters led her to the Litigation Section of the formerly known Department of Immigration and Border Protection. At the Department, Sofia gained extensive experience in cases at the appeal stage, ranging from character cancellations, citizenship refusal, and refugee and detention cases being heard in various court jurisdictions. Sofia’s Departmental experience also gave her a deeper understanding of the migration legal framework and an important insight into the governmental perspective, a strong advantage to have in this field.

Sofia transitioned to corporate immigration work in 2007 as she joined the migration practice of a Big Four accounting firm in Australia and then Canada. Subsequently, upon returning to Australia, Sofia consulted in a few boutique migration firms.

Sofia has founded M Legal Australia to focus on judicial review matters. Amber Migration has retained Sofia as a contractor, as part of our plan to expand our service offerings in the area of judicial review.
